Hello guys! Been lurking for a while, slowly learning!

Now pay day has arrived, I'm looking to build my first pc for basic family use, i.e. Internet, ms office, and my photography hobby, so will need to run Lightroom 4 and photoshop cs6, I have £600 to buy the whole system inc. monitor, mouse, keyboard.

Obviously not expecting great specifications, but a IPS monitor 23" minimum is my only request as it doesn't matter how slow the system is if the images aren't true!

Thanks guys!

Sorry about that, I will need OS, would that create the same spec as above minus SSD?

Shame.. SSD would have been loverly! Haha, but I suppose I could always add that later!

You get Windows 8 for 3 months for free - which can give you a little time to budget in a OS at a later date? Or if it's needed now, I can amend and see what I can do.

Monitor wise, I'm not sure on what's good etc. So I just specced a 23" IPS as you asked for a reasonable price. If their's better/worse than correct me on that.

Everything included - Knocked the HDD down to 500GB however still has a 64GB SSD, changed the processor to less clocked CPU & downgraded the keyboard and mouse, which shouldn't be an issue.

If windows is available free for 3 months then I think ill purchase identical to what you've mentioned, the monitor is great thank you, but out of curiosity, what would be the specification if OS was included?

And as I am going to be building this myself, are there any consumables I will require? Or tooling? Might sounds daft just covering all bases, the wife would be rather upset if I had £600 in unusable PC components haha!

Thanks again, you've been super helpful!

Everything will be good to go, the heatsink with the CPU will have thermal paste already applied. Everything else will have all the screws you need/mounts etc. All cables will be included etc.

My second post has everything included with an OS in there as well. if you haven't noticed it?

Aww your spoiling me now! Haha! No the pc will never see a game, never really been my cup of tea so to speak! And I'm using a old laptop at the moment running vista, it's roughly 4-5 years old,

I had noticed your post, but I hadn't refreshed the page to see it, while I was writing my reply to your first comment.
