Hey guys, I need some advice on my first ever build.

I am looking at a budget gaming pc and think I have everything I need and/or want. But I don't want to go and spend 300 quid on parts and then end up cocking them up. So please tell me if this is the right way to go :) I want to be able to run and play cod4:mw2 and I am hoping to upgrade as times go on.

How easy will this be to build and will it work?

Shiny Black Midi Case 450W
Gigabyte ATI Radeon 4670 HD 1GB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 DVI
Asus S775 Intel G41 mATX DDR2 Audio & Gigabit Ethernet
Intel E6300 2M Cache 2.80 GHz 1066 MHz FSB LGA77
Corsair Memory 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400 240 Pin
Maxtor 250GB 3.5" SATA 7200RPM 8MB
Akasa 80x25mm Fan Black
16" Eclipse15 Widescreen 8MS LCD Monitor

For around £350 you should be able to get:

Athlon II Dual Core CPU
Coolermaster Elite 335
Corsair VX 450W PSU
Radeon 5770
4GB DDR3 RAM

Ok, could you tell me from where exactly? Becuase my builds are always really expensive.
That sounds awesome for 350 quid.

The RAM prices seem quite expensive at the moment, and it's pushing the build up to £420:

OcUK Radeon 5770 - £118
Crucial 4GB DDR3 - £70
Asus MA AMD 770 Motherboard - £69
AMD Athlon X2 250 - £60
Corsair CX 400W PSU - £40
Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB - £40
Coolermaster Elite 335 - £35

Bear in mind that the 5770 is far more powerful than the 4670 in your original spec. If you want to save some money, go with a Radeon 4870 or 5750.

Also have a look at this thread for further ideas
