I'm going to be starting my first build on wednesday (assuming all my parts come).

Just wondering if you guys have any tips and things i should be extra carefula bout while doing it? I found a couple of sites online that tell you what to do, and I also have that corsair build site that some people here have recommended

Are there any other useful sites? Also any general advice would be appreciated :) very nervous about it.

Thanks :) Yea, i have that site too, Using that and the corsair one currently.
Yea, got a removable tray, so that should make things easier.
I bought a wristband anyway, when I bought a replacement PSU for my current computer a while back, so sicne I have it, might as well use it :p

hehe, yep, great to know that I got a nice support system lined up :D

As for what i've ordered, i'l tell you, but please don't flame me telling me i've wasted too much money, already been through that on pretty much all the different sub-forums, lol.

x6800 processor and the Tagan 900 W PSU from other sites since ocuk didn't have them in stock. Oh, also the Asus P5N32 SLI SE motherboard, which I already have. bought it at a retail store.

lol, thanks guys :)
So nervous about it. Afraid something might go wrong >_<
Even if i build it properly, and it doesn't work, first rebuilding it to make sure I built it properly. Then re-testing each part to figure out if one of them is the problem, then waiting more to get it replaced, lol

So nervous :P Especially since i'm playing with so much money.
At any rate, i'l try and get some pics for you guys, hehe.

Keep build advice coming! Invaluable at this stage, lol. Sites are all nice, but personal advice is always nicer. makes you feel special and whatnot!

Good luck to you too manoz :) Hope everything goes well. And yes, keep coffee away from motherboard :p

Ok, I now have the motherboard, power supply, a cable management kit (doubt il end up using it, but yea :p) and an internal card reader.
All the parts should be arriving tomorrow morning :D

Any and all advice for this first build will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone whose already given some, godo advice and i'l defintley be keeping it in mind. I'l try and take pics for everyone.
