joined the forum to glean information before stepping up to my first proper build, its going to be used for gaming/home computer, ideally around £650 but could stretch the purse strings a little, I really like gigabyte and AMD brands so they should be the basis of the build and I'm liking the looks of white cases at the moment, throw some specs at me guys.....

graphics I'm open about but want gigabyte mobo, OS I already have along with monitor etc, case wise I like the bitfenix shinobi types and could live with an ssd as I have hdd's in my current rig I can steal.....

I like Josh's spec for that price-range.

If you stretch a bit more, and do without an aftermarket cooler for the time being, you can grab a 280X on offer today:

1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £107.99

Could save up to buy a decent water cooler and then do more overclocking than possible on air.
