Okay, so i'm looking to build my first pc. My knowledge is limited and overclocking isnt really an option for me yet. In short i am looking to put together a reasonable gaming pc for casual gaming mostly will be playing Swtor and Planetside 2.

The components i've selected are as follows -

- OcUK Vantage Gaming Tower Case - Black
- Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor – Retail
- Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler (Socket Intel LGA 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AMD AM2 / AM3 / AM2+ / AM3+)
- Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
- Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)
- OCZ Agility 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-120G) [AGT3-25SAT3-120G]
- OcUK Swift 650W V2 Silent Power Supply
- Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [ENGTX570 DCII/2DIS/1280MD5]
- Sony Optiarc AD-5280S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) – OEM

I already have the operating system, windows 7 home premium 64bit, mouse, Keyboard and monitor. Will this build give me a reasonable gaming level? My budget is roughly £800 - £900 but I dont mind waiting to save up for other components if they can offer more. I wasnt sure weather or not to go for intel or amd, people say amd gives you more bang for your buck, though I seem to find most gamers have gone for the intel i5 2500k.

My only concerns are the SSD, are they just simply plug in? dont need to install them via bios or flash them, i assume the motherboard will simply detect it? And will the psu be good enough for the graphics card?

Any advise and opinions will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I would get a better quality PSU, i.e. OCZ, Corsair or Antec.

Setting up a SSD is a case of enabling ACHI in the BIOS and installing windows as normal in a nut shell, there are some tweaks around which can be found on the OCZ forums.
