Hi all,

finally got the money together for my first build in 7 years.
Ended up with slightly more than antispicated (smashing the overtime!)

So ideall looking for a new build at maximum of between £600-800 for the PC.
Thinking of a 3600 and perhaps and 2060 if that fits in budget?
Will be using it for gaming.

Will also need a monitor, something around 27"? Curved? perhaps 1440p if budget allows? Sepearate budget/pot of money for this so dont need to lump that in with the PC cost.

Perhaps Mini ITX? not essential but always liked the smaller ones, and im sure the missus might make her peace with that rather than a giant fridge under the desk....

I already have a copy of Windows, so dont need to worry about that.

:)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £816.59 (includes shipping: £11.70)

giga 5700xt stonking value currently and will tear the 2060 a new one
only downside is that radeon drivers aren't as polished...if you want to try and see...else get a 2060 super instead

How are the MSI boards these days?
How does the 2060 super stack up against the 5700? I had AMD gpu's way back and always had issues with the drivers.... seems the story hasnt changed! :D

if you can handle the VA ghosting (i can't) then: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...een-led-backlit-gaming-monitor-mo-057-ao.html
else then consider: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...reesync-widescreen-led-monitor-mo-04m-ao.html (can be had for <£200 if you look around)

i've got the second monitor so can recommend it. review: https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/aoc-q3279vwfd8/
No i dont think I could handle ghosting, even on my tv i cant have it without a smooth picture, nearly made me send my samsung TV back because the stupid software was just trying......too hard, but after some tweaking it was okay.

Will the MSI board be ryzen 3000 ready? i know theres issues with bios's and flashback.
If i could stretch to £900 on the PC would that make much of an improvement or much of the same?
Would I better going with an M2 SSD?
Also, ill need WiFi.

Ah okay, I wont go M.2 then, Ill keep the cost down for the moment. Not exactly hard to add one at a late date really.

Thanks for your keen insights :D

One last thing, is the white corsair vengance pro worth going for over the Vulcan's? Or is it only really if you want super flash RGB RAM?
