First build, can you rate it?

Is this just purely for gaming?

Have you any colour scheme in mind?

£1800 the top budget..

I think it can eb improved by a good choice on the monitor.. :)

If there was to be a colour scheme it would be green but I wasnt specifically designing the rig around a colour. What would you change Doomedspeed and how would you make it follow a colour scheme?

Thanks for the suggestion Josh, is the H60 just not good enough for the CPU?

Given the rest of the spec, if you want to budget around that amount for a cooler I'd probably go down the air route. I don't know the dimensions in relation to the case and mobo on this - I'm sure someone else can help on that - but you'd probably get better performance out of something like the K2:

Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler £49.99

I was really considering the mount doom cooler actually but thought it took up too much room. Has anyone else got experience with the K2? Would it be too big to get in the RAM needed?

No, no the 60 is fine but I personally prefer the 80i, you get the Corsair link software which you can alter the fan speed on the unit, I do this a lot, turn it down for movies and crank it up for games.

There is only around a £10 price difference but its worth it imo.

I picked the reference GPU as it has the green light up logo on the side.. :)

The reference cooler isn't actually that bad either, assuming you've got good airflow, which you will have with all those fans. :)

Dooms done you a good spec.

If I was spending £1800 personally Id want to put in a 250gig SSD as 120 fills up fast.

Thanks Doomedspeed. Looks good with all the green.

I will look into shaving off a few more pennies for a 250gb SSD or just whack on the extra. I'm in negotiations with my wife on the costing. I think I could get away with nearer to £1900 ;)

Warning: the green on the logo is not the same shade of green as the Bitfenix cables or the Sniper motherboard (it has a yellowish tint to it). Now, it is entirely possible that the OP isn't as much of an idiot as I am, but the slight difference in colour drove me mad - to the extent that I had to get a different 780.

So I'd stick with the 780ti HoF - the silver backplate with the green PCI-E cables will go very nicely with the Sniper's heatsinks.

Other than that, Doomed's spec looks lovely ;)

I do believe that is enough to make me get the original 780ti. If im buying a windowed case and having a bit of a colour scheme then YELLOW has no place in my life.
