Hi Guys
This is my first build (budget)
And have recieved m: Mobo,CPU,Case,HDD.
So I took a look at the case (Cit Mars) (Yes it's cheap) the two fans coming off the case, are supposed to switch on at certain temperatures (thermostat display)
Anyway, directly off the fans are two small black/white cables which go into a white inline 4pin female connetor (also a male linked off it too) which I believe is the power for the fan which would plug into my PSU? (Corsair VS650) but then wouldn't this be on all the time?
Coming off the dispaly, are two cables labelled FAN 1 & FAN 2 - two wires going into a white 3 pin block

But my Mobo (AS Rock Z97 Pro 3) also has the male connectors?? What on earth is going on here?
The fan connectors I have on the mobo is as follows:
PWR_FAN1 - Im guessing this is for the PSU fan???
3 pin CPU_Fan2
4 pin CPU FAN1 - will use either one which ever the CPU fan connector is (its stock i5 - 4460
then the last one is
CHA_FAN2 4pin - which i'm guessing should be for the fan - But is Male.
CHA_FAN1 4pin - which i'm guessing should be for the fan - But is Male.
Have I been given a shoddy case / fan combo
Im thinking of buying a seperate fan to mount with the correct pins, but I would like this connected up to the display still?
Next
If I put the stand offs in the case, the board is too high, the case has some sort of raised stand offs

Is this actually safe to mount directly on?
Lastly
The HDD activity cable or...cables... Yes theres TWO!

One goes to the LED by the power switch and one goes to the LED display.
Would I take a guess that the one by the power button would be the header PLED
and the one to the display would be the header HDLED
Any advice on any of these would be awesome!!!! Thanks
