Hi all,

I'm starting my first build with the following spec
[ ] Case: Lian li lancool II Mesh ( has 3 fans) £80
[ ] Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus £165
[ ] CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3300X £120
[ ] GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT OC £270
[ ] Or EVGA GeForce RTX2060 KO Ultra
[ ] RAM: XPG Spectrix D60G DDR4-3600 £71 ******
[ ] PSU: Cooler Master MWE GOLD 650 Full Modular £81.90

I already have a 1tb standard ssd and 2 x 2tb hdd for games and video storage.
I want a mainly gaming pc with best frame rate and easy to upgrade in the future. Will be hoping to get an AIO and m.2 ssd later in the year.

I can't decide on GPU I've read so many reviews and most sat the RX is better, but the RTX is more reliable and has better bios.,both are within my budget range.

Thanks

Did you see the review of the 2060 KO on Gamers Nexus? If you do any of those workstation tasks that the 2080 die is good for, I'd go for the 2060.

How much extra ££ is the 2060 KO?

Can't say I've compared them in much detail, but I'd imagine if you're only gaming then a £270 5600 XT would win versus a £340 RTX 2060. The 2060 does support raytracing whereas the 5600 XT does not, how much difference that makes in the real world I'm not sure. The KO Ultra is a bit faster than a regular 2060, so it's more complicated, but is it worth £70? I'd say no, you're getting really near a 2060 Super for that money. Tomshardware have a review of that model, by the way.

rtx 2060 with death stranding game can be had for £290 new
I'd still get that because of amd driver issues and unstable 5600/5700

Only if you cant wait though as prices should drop when new cards are announced people saying thats august though

that evga ko ultra has noisy little fans btw, I'm sat on £400 waiting for new cards to affect these prices too
