I posted here a couple weeks ago but decided that my budget was too small so I upped it a bit. :P

I'm looking for a gaming pc build for a budget of £800-850, Something that will have 2 monitors hooked up to it and will play games on med-max settings on 1080p, (such as BF3, Crysis, metro 2033) I'll be wanting to build this pc within the next few days.

I already have monitors, keyboard/mouse, speakers.

Thanks for the help :D

Z77 mobo can OC the i5K. Has lucid MVP which also boosts the GPU performance using the i5's IGP. If you want to do xfire or SLI you need to spend more on the mobo.

Case has 4 120mm fans, fan controller and digital temp display, also has cable management and includes a extension cable for the 4/8 pin aux power from the PSU. PSU is modular and actually has enough juice to xfire the 7850 (if you up the mobo spec), it's a bargain at that price, seeing as the 600W is roughly the same price.

Good sized SSD for the OS and games, i added 2TB of storage on an eco drive. You could use a smaller HDD and redirect the funds to the mobo if you wanted to so Xfire becomes an upgrade option.

Hope this helps, any questions we are here to help :)

Wow thanks for the fast replies :D

I should have probably said that I am in need of an OS aswell, my bad.

but both builds are looking great and I will probably use one xD

Windows 8 developers copy is a free download. Would let you put of the purchase of the OS for a while. Then later in the year you can choose between buying windows 7 or 8 ;)

well then that saves me some money for now xD thanks for the info :D

If I dropped the HDD from 2TB to 500GB I could buy the Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard would this mobo be abit more future proof?

FYI i actually use that Bequiet PSU RJC suggested. I do love it but I bought it from here for £60ish not £80. With my own money now I would go with the CM 700W.

RJC used a better mobo that gives you the Xfire option I mentioned. I do think that 60GB is really too small for the OS and games. My install for Shogun2 alone is over 20GB! Hence me adding the 128GB SSD, it's also worth mentioning that write speed is linked to the capacity of the SSD (i.e higher is better).

I'm not knocking RJC, we are just showing you options. Only you really know what's best for your needs.....you have plenty of options to consider. Any more Qs, we are always happy to help :)

EDIT

Just seen idlemans build, that's a nice setup. Kind of a halfway house between RJCs and my own. Slightly cheaper SSD (still sataIII), and a smaller HDD to help fund the Xfire mobo like I said earlier. I also own that gelid tranquillo and it is a very nice heatsink. The bitfenix case is cheaper and has USB3 ports over the Zalman Z9 but only comes with 1 fan.

thanks for the reply Socrates although I think I'm going to stay with the build I posted above as I seem to get more out of it :) also don't fancy spending £80 on my first builds case :P the Crucial Ballistix sport ram won't get in the way of the CPU cooler will it?

Just so you know, the Z9 comes with the power button disconnected. It tells you this in it's manual but it's baffled some people on here. The memory we spec'd is low profile so sits under aftermarket heatsinks nicely :)

It's also best to do the install of the OS to the SSD with the other HDD disconnected. Head into the bios and under the sata options enable ACHI mode, set the rig to boot from the DVD/USB whilst you are there. Once windows is installed you can power down and add the storage HDD.

If you need any assistance with the build come find us.
