Hi Guys,

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to PC building. I've been using laptops for years, however, I'm not taking the leap to the PC gaming world due to the continuous rise of Console prices!!

My Budget is £700-£800

Needs: Everything! I need to buy a monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and OS as well. (Ideally the Keyboard & Mouse will be good for gaming)

^ I can buy the keyboard, Mouse & Monitor second hand, I'd just like to be recommended some.

Use: Photoshop, Occasional Auto CAD & Gaming for games such as Skyrim, GuildWars2 & Grand theft auto.

I've already got a surround sound that I use for my tv, could I hook this up to my pc? If So how would I do that? Is it just a case of plugging a HDMI cable from the pc to the surround sound?

As I'm getting rid of my PS3 I'd also like my PC to be a Blu ray player as well.

Looking forward to the advice guys :D I've been reading several threads and the level of help & tips on this site will be of huge benefit.

EDIT: I also don't think I'll be overclocking, as a newbie to PC I don't want to potentially mess anything up.

Thanks for the help guys.

What about the OS? Can I use any Windows Home disc or does it need to be a specific one when installing from scratch?

Also, has this got built in wifi? or will I need to buy an adapter, if so which do you recommend?

And when I do cable everything, how can I tidy the cables/wires inside the tower? I'm quite OCD and seeing messy cables will drive me mad. :D
