Hey all,

I haven't done a new build for close to 5 years now, the step-son's PC just died so figured I'd upgrade and give him my current setup. I've put together the following, please note I'm holding off for a week or so as their are rumours that the new z270 boards will be released on Thursday.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £2,708.45
(includes shipping: £23.10)

Any thoughts on additions, subtractions or amendments are welcome!

This one's for me. He can have my castoff! haha.

Primarily gaming, I will be doing some video/photo/audio editing here and there for my business, but nothing too intensive otherwise I'd have gone X99.

Necessary especially at that price?!

I haven't settled on a memory yet, in fact, when I added those to the basket, the ones I did want were out of stock, so hopefully by the time I come to buy the memory I actually want will be in stock.

Just want to throw it out there that with modern intel cpus as far as day to day use goes, extreme liquid cooling gains you maybe 300Mhz, no real world gains, and puts a big hole in your pocket.

These CPUs can hit high 4's on air (NHD14/NHD15 for example) so going CLC is just for looks and e-peen these days. Nothing wrong with it. Just wanted to mention that it is unnecessary just incase you didnt know.
