Wow, thanks guys for the replies.I do plan on overclocking the cpu (sorry typo in were the 2500k i5 is) but is there much difference between the 3 gb and the 1.5 gb card. thanks

have you considered http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=123&rows=0

the psu is the one you originally had so going by what stulid said it uses more electricity and the bundle comes in at ~£36 more than stulids' spec but comes with a better cpu cooler, the corsair h80 would mean you're not restricted to low profile ram.

not sure if it'll be heeded but I'll throw it out there any way, have you considered 6950 2gb/6970?

btw stulid or anyone else who know, seeing as fsx is cpu dependent wouldn't it benefit from the hyper threading of the i2600k?

The Gelid is a great cooler and will easily manage a 4.5GHz+ overclock and theres no difference between low profile ram and ones with tall heatsinks

FSX prefers nvidia cards.

For gaming the i5 2500K is all thats needed http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/288?vs=287

I know there isn't a difference between the rams but the op may like ones with fins but due to the cpu cooler wouldn't be able to get them, the corsair h60/80 means thats not an issue.

amd I know i2500k is enough for games but wasn't sure about fsx(as read its also cpu dependent not just gpu like most games.
