Hello all,
The time has come to upgrade our computer and looking back it was over 6 years ago that it was last upgraded. This will be used for gaming and also my wife works from home so a bit of an office computer as well. I also used to over clock and had water cooling set ups long ago and might do this again.
Below are some of the parts that I've picked out and I'd like some opinions on them.
YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £239.99
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £199.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £188.99
1 x Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter (CT256MX100SSD1) £86.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 750W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £79.99
1 x Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMY8GX3M2A2133C11R) £79.99
Total : £885.54 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I've listed 2 GPUs as I'm yet to decice on what to buy and I'm really bad at going "that's only an extra £20, Oh and thats only an extra 40" but all together adding up to quite a lot.
Pretty much decided on the CPU but I've not listed a motherboard as im still not sure what to go with although a friend has just used a MSI Z97M-G43 board and it seems to be a very good board, also its Micro ATX which I'm going to try at the minute rather than the huge towers we have had in the past.
I've listed the SSD as my mates computer has one and its really good, or compared to a old HDD it is )
The PSU is probably overkill but when I've built in the distant past I've always liked to have a good one.
As for the memory, well i need to read up more on the memory side of things but the ones ive listed seem to be fine.
Undecided on the case so far but possibly a Corsair 350D or a Lian Li PC-A04 as i like this case quite a bit.
so if your still awake after reading this any pointers would be appreciated!
