Hi there guys i'm slowly starting to save up the money to build my own custom pc, the one I have is good but it just can't keep up anymore but it is years old!
Anyway I had set my sights on a few pieces of hardware that I saw were recommended and rated highly but a couple of months ago I saw an 8GB Ram kit that was on sale so I purchased it thinking I could use it. The motherboard I was thinking of buying was the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-096-AK but the RAM which I bought http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=4F1768ACA5CA7304 isn't on the Motherboards memory compatibility list but on the crucial website it says that it is compatible with the motherboard? Any ideas, do you think it will be compatible and also is it actually decent RAM or should I invest in something a little better?
Here's my spec that i've decided on so far, any recommendations for changes are welcome
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-096-AK
CPU: Intel i5 3570k http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-418-IN
GPU:GTX 670 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-185-EA Is there a particular brand that's good, Asus or EVGA etc?
RAM: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=4F1768ACA5CA7304
I currently already have an 800w PSU that I imagine should be able to supply enough juice to my ideal build once it's all setup? Also I will probably purchase an SSD but not sure on which one yet, was thinking maybe an Intel 256gb.
Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated.
