Hey all, was wondering if anyone would give me a few pointers on my first build.

The spec below is 1840 euro to buy. Am i missing anything? Have i made the right choice of case and psu as i have minimal knowledge of the pros and cons of each. budget has to stay below 2000 euro so i have some scope to improve components.

Any help would be most appreciated.

That spec is about £1200 pounds if its in euros, and i would have thought you could have done a bit better than that (GTX, etc.) for that amount.

Yeah, was just going to post that. You would have to find out about delivery, probobly ring up sales. You can get a much better deal from here for that amount. Can't really help if its from another shop.

the problem is in Ireland that there are very few compeditors, its a real pain! Dont want to purchase in the uk as the postage would cripple me and if there was a problem with any of the components it would take about two weeks to replace.
And as for mentioning a competitors name maybe if you had an irish site i might not have too!

Doubt the postage would cost that much in comparison to a £1200 spec.

You would probably save more and get a better spec, even if you got it posted over from the UK.

Well if you cant help then why post at all, if u did want to help you would have posted what price OCUK could quote me and give me the number of your sales department rather than just give me hassel for not using your site to buy!

Mate, im not trying to annoy you. You posted that you weren't planning to buy from here and as a rule then competitor talk is not allowed on the forums. Checking that you have the possibility of buying from here before I spend 10 minutes looking at parts using my own time.

I will do you a spec anyway but please don't overreact. I apologies if I annoyed you.

You would ofcourse have to find out about shipping. That is a much more powerful spec than your inital one, and it will also overclock a lot better. :)

no point in going ultimate, save youself a few bob and get yourself a new game to go with it =).

I would like to point out Vista 64 isn't compatible with a lot of hardware which is why I switched it to 32bit. Not much drop in performance and its worth it for the amount of things which won't work on 64bit.

Much appreciated dude, sorry for over reacting, its just that as the site in question is from Ireland and so i thought it wouldnt be a compeditor.

Np, let us know what you decided to do :)

Looks like an awsome spec. IMO you should have cut back on the OC2 and manually oc'd the OC, its exactly the same hardware but lower factory preset. Saving on the gfx should have been put into some better ram but tbh.. its an awsome spec.

It will do you proud :)

the reason i went with the oc2 was because of the warranty, as its my first build I'd rather have something to fall back on in the event I mess things up! But I understand what you're saying.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to build the thing but with the advice ive read on the forum I should be laughing.

As for the ram at that price for performance ratio i couldnt ignore it, and anyway its the easiest thing to upgrade in the future should i require it.

Thanks for ** help and i'll let u know how i get on when the parts arrive on Thursday.
