First Build, Troubleshoot!

Update!

Right so I have done this, And it worked =)
And booted into the BIOS, I have 2 concerns

One is that on the very first screen that you see it says Harddisc not detected, even though it is in, and plugged in (and it also says there is a harddisc in the BIOS)

The other is that in the BIOS the CPU temperature is 42 degrees, which seems a bit high for idle
 
Yup, its weird, because in the BIOS I do see harddrive and like a code name for it
But its just when u boot it up it doesnt, could it be because boot prio is Disc >> USB >> HDD?

And hows the temperature btw
 
So when the windows installation starts it cant find a drive?

Or have you managed to install windows (on another drive?) and the 1TB isnt showing up in My Computer?
 
The temps fine.

Once in windows you can use RealTemp to show the true Idel and Stress Temps;)

Get windows installed.

Then all the drivers (chipset/Nvidia and sound etc)
 
Actuallu that has just triggered a memory in my head.


I helped do a build for someone and the Boot up screen kept saying "no disk detected" although it booted fine into windows.

All it was, was one of the SATA control chips moaning, swapped the SATA lead into the port that it "controlled" and the message went away and the machine still worked fine.
