Took me about 4 hours to get it setup and all connected. I turn the power button on and the blue LED flashes on the back of the Tagan, nothing else happens, ive checked all over but dont know what to do.

Any ideas will be great. Thanks.

Arron.

I have the 24pin connected and the 4 pin which is for the cpu if im correct. The fans are connected, the sata drive, dvd writer is connected via the IDE connection which is green on the DS3. Theres no beeps at all just a blue LED flashes then goes off. Ive read the tagan manual over and over. i might have to try it in my other computer.

Hmm, again double check all the obvious bits, is the power cable in the back properly? is everything grounded?

Try resetting CMOS

Have you connected the power cable (The little one)to the right bit on the motherboard?

Its grounded, ive tried it on the mobo standoffs and now its grounded on the drive rack.

Which one do you mean? The only ones ive connected to the mobo is 24 pin power connection (its a 20pin plus 4 pin which you slide together) and the 4 pin one which is for the cpu. I got the lanboy power led, power button, reset button ect connected all in the right places (checked about 6 times). The cpu fan is connected.

I will reset the cmos now.

Double check the little power button is correctly inserted to the right place on the motherboard.

Is the CPU fan cable in the right slot?

CPU fan is in the correct slot. The power button is in the correct place (the DS3 manual is very helpful on this, it clearly shows the + and ground cables and where they go, the lanboy its red and black, red being the + and the black the ground)

Is it the right way round?

Try the Tagan PSU in another system, if not then short 2 cables to start it manually.

Also try and boot it with only 1 stick of ram, and the bare essentials (I.E. No DVD drive and things).

I will try the tagan in another system. I will do this tomorrow now, im really tired from that build and gutted too. Ive never spent so much money in one go before lol.

Thanks for the help anyway! ;)

No problem, it happens man, your not the only one!

Last question, have u flicked the rocker switch on the PSU?

I.E. So that its on "I" not "O"

Yeah, thats the first thing i checked.

Cheers buddy.

if it doesnt work when you short it....

build the system out of the case...using the bare minimum, i.e. cpu, hsf, 1 stick RAM etc etc to see if you can get it to post...

good luck

On my DS4 and E6300 i have a 8pin conector pluged in where the 4 pin usualy would be, in the manual i said use an 8 pin for dual core iirc, could this be the problem?

just to confirm, i only have 1 ram stick, cpu with hsf, motherboard power connectors and the lanboy power led and power button installed and it powered up!!! yyyyyeeeesssss!! :)

gonna take my time installing other bits in turn and checking everytime i do something. I will let you know.

Thanks guys!

All up and running with windows installed and driver etc. If it wasnt for this forum i would have never been able to build my own pc. Its suprising how much you learn by reading from these topics with peoples problems and solutions.

Thanks a lot for all your help ;)

It's nice to see seeing your first build booting isn't. :D
