Hi guys, im looking at building my first PC after a long time debating wether or not to. I have had a look around and came up with the following spec for around £600, could anyone tell me wether the components are compatible and/or any improvements?
Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit )OCZ3P1333LV4GK)
OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent Power Supply
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD502HJ)
Samsung SH-S223CBEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 939 AM2 AM3 775 1156 1366)
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Hi Rob.

What is the main tasks the pc will be doing, gaming i take it and we will be able to advise further but looking good so far.

You sure that you can't stetch to a better graphics card, just seems a bit weak against the rest of your spec, and do tell us what this will be used for. If it aint heavy gaming I will shut up

p55 mobos are better than h55 if your getting an i5 750

btw get a 5770 instead of 4870
dx11 and its only a hair slower than a 4870 but runs cooler , needs less power and will easily beat a 4870 if you overclock slightly while still running cooler than a 4870 would
