Are these specs any good? I know I can probably get a better bang-for-buck processor but emulation, especially for Dolphin, apparently runs far better with intel. I also want to try overclocking and adding a second graphics card in the future.

ditch the harddrive for something faster, such as this Samsung F3.

And you cant Crossfire with that motherboard, so choose a cheaper but still good quality PSU

If you want to go crossifre in the future you will want a better MB. This one will be good, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-203-GI << Thats a great price for that MB (or the UD4 if you buy it after the special offer is over)

Change the HDD to this,

dependant on space required, both of those are quick drives.

heres a AMD alternative.

The motherboard has SATA and USB 3.0, and offers Crossfire at 16/16 lanes each.

The psu is made by Seasonic and is fantastic.

And the Zalman case is arguably better than the Antec 300.

I was told in my own thread that that motherboard only offered 8x/8x lanes. Would be a lot nicer if it was 16x/16x

i think that mobo is 8x/8x but it offers no difference really maybe 1-2 fps in difference

yeah, i was having a blonde moment. its the FX chipset that does 16/16
