Hi, I am planning on building my first PC at the end of the month. I have picked out some components but since it is my first time building I need advice, my budget is £780. I hope to play bf3, and other games, at high or the highest settings and a resolution of 1280x1024. I also hope the pc won't have to have a major upgrade for at least 2-3 years (no motherboard change).
I do not plan on sli/overclocking for a while, but would kick myself if I wanted to in the future and didn't have the option.

Here's the stuff I've picked, I do not need a hard-drive and I know the graphics card isn't available on the site any more:

Go with this Gainward GeForce GTX 560 Ti GOLDEN SAMPLE 1GB NVIDIA Graphics Card

I looked at reviews but it doesn't look much better than the MSI.

I'd wait and get 2 of them graphics cards if I were you

It would cost more, more power usage etc. So I can't do that at the moment but in a year I'd probably be able to afford another card.

change the ram to low profile(I.e without fins) and add the gelid tranquilo cooler for £26

What RAM would you suggest? I don't think I'd ever use all 4 slots anyway (16GB seems slightly overkill).
Getting a CPU cooler would mean more money and I can always get one in the future when I need to overclock.

other then that not looking too bad, if you already waiting till end of november maybe worth waiting till the new year for the new graphics cards.

I thought about that but I'd rather be happy for 3-4 months than bored waiting (my old graphic card is nearly dead).

Thanks.

if you're going to buy by next tuesday night(the deals change on wednesday tho not sure what time exactly)

the cpu is down to £168 saving £12

the graphics card
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-267-AS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1341 more expensive but comes with 2 games,

the ram is down to £42 saving £8

windows is bac upto £80 so £5 more

so thats £20 saving on the cpu and ram, the graphics ard is £14 more than the one you chose and windows is £5 more so over all you save £1(every little helps ;) )

if you buy by the 21st you get 20% cash back for the msi motherboard

So it doesn't matter that the RAM isn't low profile if I won't use all 4 slots in the future?
I'll take a look at the asus graphics card.
I might buy on tuesday night. I didn't know about the motherboard, thanks.
