I need a new pc for normal browsing some gaming (Minecraft). This is the spec I have been looking at;

Phenom II X4 955
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Corsair Builder Series CX 430W V2
BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case
Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (2x2GB) 1600MHz
OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

I have the normal stuff like screen, keyboard and mouse. I also have an OS and I have a 320gb 2.5in hdd.

My budget is around £300 but the spec above only comes to £253 but that's without the graphics card and I will probably buy that later if I need it.

I don't really want an overkill pc because I don't wanna spend too much.

The phenom says it supports upto 1333MHz memory but the crucial is 1600MHz will this be ok?

What is the highest graphics card supported by the Corsair CX430?

Thanks.

Thats 8GB or RAM and the motherboard has HDMI, VGA & DVI-D output

And as above, something like a 6850/GTX460 will run of the PSU, with cards that need dual 6pin PCI-E power inputs then a molex to PCI-E adapter is needed (these usually come with the graphics cards)

You can upgrade AM3+ to a Bulldozer FX CPU if you want too. but they are slower clock for clock than a PhenomII

The H61 will take all current Sandybridge CPu's and ivybridge is socket 1155 also (due next year) so a BIOS update should sort that ( many manufacturers have already released updates for their range of boards H61/H67/P67/Z68 to support them)

The only downside is that to do overclocking you need a P67 or Z68 board so you can overclock the CPU ratio multiplier on a K CPU
