Just wanted a quick opinion of my first build, will everything be alright?

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V Pro Intel Z77 Socket 1155 DDR3 ATX
CPU: Intel i7 2700k 3.5GHZ
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1600mhz LP
CPU Cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo
PSU: Corsair TX750 Modular
GPU: EVGA 1280MB GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked - I'll be looking to go SLI, but it won't be for a while. I may wait for more 6 series to come out and wait for the prices to drop on better models, what would you guys recommend for this?

I already own these:
Samsung Spinpoint F4 2TB HD - I may save up and get a 120GB Corsair Force3 120GB SSD for the OS and Games/Essential apps.
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro
LG E3250V HD monitor - I may save up for another

I can't wait! :)

I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 to utilise the 16GB of RAM yes, and it will be primarily a gaming system.

I'm going for the i7 as I want to go high with the first buy, I want this system to last a few year before I need to be upgrading but still have the capability to upgrade when I want to. :)

if its a gaming system no point in gettin 16gb. 8gb is rly overkill of games. and may as well get i5 as u wont see any difference with i7 and save money

I'm going to go for the i7 as I want the system to last a long time. Would it be wise to go for the Ivy Bridge 3770K to utilise PCI-e 3.0 as I'm going to go SLI?

I'll take the advice on the RAM - I can always get more sticks later if need be. :)

If its for gaming, an i5 will last a long time :) if you want the i7, it's a great CPU just with the money saved you might be able to afford an even better GPU!

You're best sticking with Ivy Bridge yes - you dont need PCIe 3 even for SLI, but you might as well get it now its out.

The computer will also be used for programming and reversing applications, but apart from that it will be gaming and general work, browsing etc.

I'll go with Ivy Bridge for sure then :)
