Well guys, I just bought my first car. =D A Vauxhall corsa.

what I would like to know is, does anybody have any good ways of connecting my Ipod to the stereo [CDR 2005]

preferably without changing the cd player, or with out the use of a fm transmitter, as my experience with them shows them to be pretty poor..

thanks

For a first car and you've just passed I'd try one of those £10 transmitters.

Mine worked fine for a year and I only got a proper headunit with iPod intergration because I wanted to be able to control the songs through steering wheel controls and not have to mess about with an iPod between my legs.

What difference does it make if he's been driving 5 weeks or 5 years!?

IME I've had no luck with FM transmitters, I got fed up of finding a new frequency every five minutes.

Oh and well done for getting on the road, shame about the first car though :p

My advice is to get a decent headunit with all the features you want now and to keep your existing one so when you come to sell the car you can put the original one back in.
