Second thread in here recently, but different purpose.

Okay, coming upto where i want to start driving, so im looking to buy a first car that can be used for the first few months :p

Not wanting it to be overly fast, but to be good enough to get me from A to B, but not look like ****.

Insurance must be quite cheap.

Sub £900 on the car.

Reason for so cheap is that once its all done, test is sorted i will be going into Automatic i think :p *awaits flame*.

Been looking at Renault Clio, Corsa, Saxo.

Any ideas on a car to get?

Should have made it more clear, car must be sub £900.

Insurance should just be quite cheap :p

And the car will be used for possibly 6 months or so.

I will be moving into a bigger and or better car at a later date.

Either silly small cars, or old sabbs, volvos ect can be cheap to insure.

pretty much all cars will get from a to b fine, it just depends if you can live with the image.

I'd rather it looked okay, like some Clio's, Saxo's.

I quite like the Civic's too - but maybe expensive to insure?

Any others to look at, that are actually fairly nice cars :p

This is why old volvos and saabs with 2 liter turbos can be cheap, as the insurance companies don't have data for young drivers so the risk is less.

But as I said get on auto trader find cars for under 900 pic a few you like and run some quotes, as everyone can get different cars for different insurance prices.

Dont want anything too big :p

What about a Civic?

Wanting a manual small car first.

After a few months going for a bigger car, wanting a nice old BMW, like the one David_b posted, if i could afford it :p
