First Car

Well, at the age of 29 I've finally bought my first car.

Took a while to talk Mrs Asprilla round that it wasn't too old fashioned but this morning I've put down the deposit on a 52 plate Volvo S60 T5 SE with 31k miles on the clock.

Picking it up tomorrow once it's been MOT'd and valeted.

Can't wait to hit the motorway in it. Might go visit mates in Manchester just for the M6 Toll.

Very excited, as you can probably tell

I doubt I will. It's so comfortable that it subconsiously induces the need to drive at a reasonable speed.

Wow, just picked up the car and driven it back across London.

It certainly is an old mans car, the ride was so smooth and quiet that I drive back though London listening to Classic FM (which I never do but I had no CDs with me) and then sat grinning smuggly as I beat a couple of boy racers away from the line at Hammersmith and Wood Lane.

Love this car soo much!

If you where 17 you would get ragged on here for that i guess. And of course your first car should have been a micra!

True and I'd deserve it. I don't do it very often, but I was such a nice feeling.
