Hey guys,
Well I fitted my first proper water loop into my PC!! yey go me
And nothing went on fire or exploded, so that's good.
I've had the water loop/kit in the PC for about 30 hours now ( pump has been switched on for about 15 of those hours ). My first question is, as it hasnt leaked *yet*
, whats the chances of it leaking if it hasnt done so in 30 hours?
So any ways!
I've never realy overclocked stuff, and have just been picking things up by reading this forum. So I got myself a E6600
It's now at 35C idle @ 3GHz on 1.4V ( I just put 1.4V into it, and i'll see what clock I can get from those volts, I havn't tried anything above 3GHz yet )
I also got a 8800GTX, after reading about them I got the impression that 80C was a normal temp for this card to be running at. I hadn't used the card before I fitted a water block to it, but mines @ 40C idle
I didn't expect it to be that kool!
Another thing i'm realy chuffed about!! I use 2 Striped Hard Disk's for my system. And with my old motherboard ( used an ATi Chipset ) I was getting 72MB/s with these 2 striped disks. After switching to the Evga 680 nVidia Chipset i'm never going back to ATi again! I'm now getting 139 MB/s using exactly the same disks!!
That's all i've got to say atm... ;P
