This one is actaully just starting to die, so i tweaked the colours a little to give a more muted effect. It was taken indoors with a stream of sunlight coming in through the window.

What u reckon?....

This one's closer to 'normal'

Spring is coming fast but it's still cold in the m00nings :/

What camera are you using? looks like EV0 was used (no exif to check), try shooting with EV of -1.0 to keep highlight detail and shoot in raw so when you open them in photoshop you can bring out the brightness and not get loss of highlight detail that can be seen especially in the first pic.

Nice though, keep on shootin whilst the weather stays like this \m/

Lo mrk

Cheers :) I'm using a Nikon D70 and these were taken with a Sigma 70-300 lense.

I think the Ev was 0.33 but they were taken in RAW mode so I can play around with them more. - Have only just discovered the joys of shooting in RAW having found a free program the other day - RAw shooter essentials - which seems quite good.

Ah yes I was using RSE too (p.s. I'm a newcomer to Nikon too previously having been using canon :p)

I find Adobe Camera Raws colour reproduction and white balancing to be far better than RSE though (both latest versions) so decided to stick with the workflow in photoshop that I prefer, just wish it had some more features that could shave off a few mins from each image!

What Nikon you got mrk? What did you have before and how come you switched from Canon? - That's normally a big step if you have a lot of lenses and kit...

Do you work in photography?, just seen your website (v nice by the way).
I'm thinking about taking photography 'seriously' and am in the process of learning, getting more kit and eventually trying to make some money from it...

I work in a studio but dont do any photography for them, they promised to promote me when I joined but have yet to see it happen, typical franchise nonsense really so I'm looking to move on :)

I'm using a good mates d70, he's the one that convinced me to switch and my other mates also use nikons (d2x/d2hs) so have always got access to Nikon equipment and lenses if I need them. I'm geting the D200 though in the summer so the time using the d70 now is all getting used to it because it is raher different than the 350D I had before.

It's hard but you just have to keep trying I guess!

You have your dSLR set to an EV of -1.0 all the time then mrk?

Or just when shooting macros?

Just never heard of doing this before...
