First day with Nildram.. what happens next?

I just got activated on Nildram today, I ran a few tests and they showed my speed was around 1 - 2mb I signed for the 8mb max adsl.

I know I wont see 8mb speeds straight away, so how long does it take to settle itself down? I heard 10 days? is that working days or just normal?

In theory 3 days, in reality the answer's a lemon.
More importantly, what are you synching at?

were you not on a max product before? if so then your line shouldnt need retraining. if i run "speed tests" on my nildram line i rarely get over 2mb speeds, but when it actually comes to downloading stuff it flys along.
