First Decent Car

Ok, I know theirs twenty plus "spec me a car" threads every day but I would love your help to choose a particular type of car, So help me damn you!!!

Anyway, just got off the phone to a well known industrial company that have just offered me secound year entry into their apprenticeship scheme.

So I'm here asking, no pleading with you demi-gods of the motors section to help me pick a new car.

I will be purchasing the car in august as thats when my insurance for the current shed (Proton ) runs out.

I will be 22, i have 3 years no claims.

i have a budget of 2.5k to 5k to spend (currently have 1.5k in savings should have twice that or more by deadline)

Im Six foot Six, so most small cars are out of my comfort zone.

i will be doign 35miles a day mixed, driving 2-3 people.

I would love a car with decent mod cons as in previous cars i havent had any luxuarys (that work)


and finally one small point "no french cars" ive had too many nightmarish dealing with their support group.


So in essence guys and gals spec me a car please i have cookies

And you dont need to wait for your insurance to expire before you buy a new car.

quoted me rediculas amounts when i was thinking about changing the proton for a 106.

Tried to up my insurance by £50 a month.

Im tied as i need the no claims so i can affoad the decent car

I dont mind mondeos, actually i was looking at one diesel mind (don flame suit)
But was also looking at the over salons, saw a xtype jag black, to bad their almost as reliable as a alfa...
