First desktop build 1k budget

Hello guys,

I have a crappy dell m1330 laptop, now 5 years old, with the following specs -

Processor - Intel Core Duo T7500 2.2Ghz
RAM - 4GB
OS - Windows 7

I am thinking of now changing over to a dedicated desktop which i will will mostly be using to create powerpoints, word, excel, make movies, edit phhotos, play movies, and of course games.

I have a 1k budget and am just wondering what you guys would get

I have a friend selling a G1 Sniper 3 Z77 which i could easily get.
