Im thinking of watercooling my new rig and plan to spend £300 on parts and hav come up witht his so far:-

  • Dtek Fusion block
  • XSPC Drive bay reservoir
  • 12V Laing D5 Vario pump
  • Thermochill PA120.2
  • 2x Yate Loon 120mm D12SH-12 - 2200 RPM
  • 3/8" Clearflex 60 Hose w/ uv blue anti kink coils
  • Feser One Cooling Fluid - UV BLUE

Tell me what you think and also im not sure on how much coolant or how much hose.

Any extra advice on how to cool my mobo (see sig) and a 8800gts 512mb

masterkleer tubing,

if its just a cpu loop 1 bottle of freser might be enough, not sure with a pa 120.2 though. about 3/4 bottle filled my loop, 6feet of master and a thinner black ice 120.2 rad.

I'm not a big fan of those pumps, they're huge. Much better off with a DDC 1+ especially if you're using 3/8 tubing as the ddc 1 is 3/8 native whereas the pump you specces is 1/2" native.

Personally I'd go for masterkleer (I did!) which is just under 1/2" looks nice and chunky and sticks to 1/2 barbs like something you wouldn't want on a blanket.

Also I'm not mad keen on the xspc bayres, personally the only reason I'd have a bayres would be to see the liquid. You don't NEED a res.

All the above..

...plus, those fans might be too noisy even with a fan controller. They come in Low Medium and High, you have the High ones. Personally I would chose the Low ones if no fan controller (~1200rpm) and maybe the Medium ones (~1600rpm) if you have a fan controller and can turn them down.

I prefer 120mm fans to be around or below 1000rpm and find anything over 1300 rpm too noisy.

All IMO
