First DNF screenshot?

I'd say more looks like a rendered shot from a cut scene or something. I'm sure last time i read anything on DNF, it was using the Unreal 3 engine.

Either way its going to have to be the best game ever to live up to the hype and not be the joke its become. That and if it came out this year, its got a hell of a lot of catching up to do and a lot of competition to deal with.

Looks more like a render, as seems a lot of depth of field in the shot, though can't exactly see enough to fully say.

So I'll just call BS now :p
 
Its a webcam shot of a duke nukem action figure, you can see the back of a chair and monitors in the background.

I think it's believable that it's a screenshot and not prerendered. UE3 can quite easily manage that sort of detail. Of course a simple little screenshot like that doesn't say anything about how far the game is coming. Something like that could be knocked up in the engine after only a few days.
 
If theres an action figure that looks like that in that pose then I'd agree thats what it is.


Whichever, it was a good idea obviously due to all this talk

You know the reason they have that stuff is because you'd basically be living at the office. I saw a video of Epic's place and they have free drinks and snacks, game rooms and even beds. It's so much work you have to be there nearly all day.

p.s. And yes it is a toy, I see it now.
 
Hrm the arms look like slightly different poses but that probably is the same one. Its such a low grade screenshot its not worth debating. They wouldnt bother releasing this now, half the gamers wouldnt have a clue who this guy is anyway
 
other than the posting on the forums has there been any other conformation that its and official ingame screenie?
