First ever oc, comments please! E6300 @ 3ghz

Hey guys,

Just followed the ds3/4/6 guide on the forums, and had my first oc out of this! Just installed an arctic freezer 7 pro, temps at stock were 40 ish. Now only 24!

wish i could get TAT working for vista 64bit, seem to be more reliable.

how are my temps for a 3ghz oc?

spec is ::

Intel E6300 2mb cache
2gb geil 6400 800mhz ultra
Gigabyte ds3 f10 latest bios
Arctic freezer 7 pro + arctic silver 5 paste

I didn't touch the vcore at all, it's the default as set by bios! :O

tried all my games and apps out so far, nothings crashing. Seems beatsy!

Temps are fine, but what are they when the cpu is fully loaded?

what cooling are you using, those temps look like the stock cooler and i know speedfan is accurate in vista, have you tested for orthos stable?

Cooler is Arctic freezer 7 pro + arctic silver 5 paste

Bios temps read 23c at stock, and at 3ghz oc'd 31c

when at load temps go up all round by about 7 - 10c

I'm not sure speedfan is that accurate!

Yeah you should check it survives a good few hours with orthos. But tbh I'd be surprised if it wasn't stable at those settings.

orthos got a website? can't find a version for x64 vista anywhere?

it doesnt have a 64-bit version, it uses same one for 32-bit and 64-bit
