So After letting my pc run for a few days, to make sure all was fine and dandy, I thought I would give my cpu a bit of a tweak. Although I have been building my own pc for just over a year, I didn't ever get around to oc'ing, probably because it has never been together long enough for me to be able to

So I went away and watched a few vids, and then watched them again and made a few notes. My plan was to try a small oc to begin with, nothing drastic partly because of being a noob, plus with the British heat, being stupidly hot at the mo.

So after an hour or so I managed to get my 4670k up to 4.2 @ 1.050v, and she has been stable for a couple of days now. I was pleasantly supprised with my temps too, all I have heard about Haswell are they run hot, but mine isn't far off the out of box state of my 3570k, so I'm a happy bunny. Temps as of right now are

Ambient, 26
Core 0, 36
Core 1, 33
Core 2, 31
Core 3, 32

Low, 31, 28, 28, 27

High, 51, 50, 48, 47

So what do you people think how am I doing for a first time ? feedback would be great from some non noobs out there. I don't plan on going much higher at the moment, until the heat chills out a bit, and I've got a lot more reading / watching to do before I go any further. I wouldn't mine oc'ing my ram a bit though, as the Avexir MPower yellow with yellow strobe only comes in 1600mhz, so I wouldn't mind bumping it up to 1866mhz, or even 2133 mhz, which by all accounts is fully achievable.
