hi all.
lurked here for quite a while now, i've used this (and others like it) forum as a primary source for research on anything that i don't fully understand that is to do with technology. Most recently, watercooling!

Threads like THIS ONE are gold mines of information.

anyway, im going to attempt to build my first watercool rig. There will only be a cpu block in the loop for starters just to try and keep it simple, but i'm sure in the near future i'll hook up the nb and the gpu.
I hope to be modding the case aswell (i.e blowholes on top and possibly a black perspex window w/ uv shiny things in the side for the eye candy :p)

My current machine's specs go like this...
Q6600 G0 @ 3.2Ghz
4x1GB Geil ULL ddr2 6400
ASUS P5E X38
8800GTS 512MB

It's all in an antec p182 aswell.

Hopefully (when it all arrives and things) I should have...
Thermochill PA120.2
2x yate loons
D-Tek FuZion cpu block
Masterkleer 7/16" tubing (im not sure how much of this i will need so any help pls :D)
Laing DDC 1+ Ultra 18W 12VDC Pump w/alphacool top
Alphacool Single 5.25" Bay Reservoir
aswell as some blu feser one (again not sure how much of this im going to need)

im also going to need some black (but still see thru) acrylic (if anybody has any pointers on where there are some good plastic vendors i would be grateful)

Anyway I'm going to be posting updates and pictures of what i've been up to. I don't know if anybody will even be interested but I thought some of you might like to see how my progress is going or point out any flaws/problems i may have created or just generally lend some expertise.

Thanks everyone.
Matt. ;)

i've seen a lot of people recommend home mixtures of alcohol/distilled water/iodine/addatives/anti bacterial stuff mrthingyx... but then again, i've seen a lot of people say that feser is great too. I'm sure you know what you're talking about but for now I think i want to keep things simple, so one litre of it should do the trick gary? (its also got the UV-ness :D)

If 2 meters will sufice then ill order 3, (im a moron, and i'll probably cut it wrong so a couple of quid to make sure i have enough seems reasonable)

ill get the nozzle kit on your recommendation too gary, nice one.

P.S. also, i had a little surf around, http://www.coolercases.co.uk/acatalog/Plexiglass.html this place looks like they have decent acrylic at a fair price. I want the dark window film i think, as it is black and opaque when the computer is off, but when the lights go on you can see them through the side pannel (apparently)

Thanks guys, ill keep this updated.

I would have thought that the link would be classed as a competitor - strange how it allows it and not starred out like other "competitors" that have very little products in common with OcUK....

I just thought it would be beneficial to other people trying to get hold of plastic for their side panel. Sorry if it's not sposed to be there :S

Thanks mrthingyx but im not too bothered about the money its only a couple of quid, plus i dont exactly know what i'm doing with water mixtures.
Also as matt100 points out, i've heard it's non-corrosive/non-conductive etc...
