Hi guys, as per thread title, this is my first full build and first attempt at overclocking (other than OCing GPU via Afterburner).
System specs:

HAF X (3 CM Megaflows - 2 x top exhaust, 1 side intake. Stock rear exhaust and 230mm front intake)

MSI P67A-GD55
i5-2500k
be quiet! Dark Rock Advanced - Arctic MX-4
8gb Corsair XMS3 C9
OCZ ZX1000 PSU

I've been running Prime95 Blend for just over an hour now with the i5 @ 4.5ghz and 1.28v.
Core temps max is 59c on core 1, all other cores 57c.

I'd post screen pics, but I can't for the love of god find where they are located in Win7 (where can I find them?)

If this OC is stable, i'd be very satisfied and would not look to take it higher. The main use of this rig is predominantly gaming and some photoshop.

So, based on the above figures, and the length of time running, are these temps ok?, and could I safely say I've got a stable OC?

Thanks guys:)

Looks fine, iam not an Intel guy though so i would wait for the others to post but i would have a check on your northbridge temperatures with something HWmoniter because that used to be the limiting factor on my overclock, now turns out its my ram :(

But yeah looks fine :)

Thanks nkata, what does the 12v reading signify, and what are the affects of it being too low?

Unless it is a software glitch with HWmonitor, it could be that the PSU is struggling. +12V powers a lot of things nowadays on a PC. CPU and graphics for two. Try another app to check voltages as it appears stable at your settings. Just noticed it is a 1000W so should be good.

Ah, kind of worried now re: my PSU. The Prime95 Blend test failed after 6 hrs 48 mins - hardware failure. With regards the PSU, should the 12v reading in HWmonitor always read 12v or thereabouts,.....or will it depend on how much load is being put on the system? Could I have a faulty PSU?

I can't run any tests at the moment, I'm at work, but will up the vcore to 1.285 or 1.29 and try again this evening. Also, what is a good alternative to HWmonitor? And, any thoughts on what could be happening with my PSU if that 8v reading turns out to be accurate?

Thanks again guys, much appreciated:)
