The first game that i completed was Super Mario Bros for the Nes.
It was the only game i had when i first got my Nes back in the day and i played it to death, I'd like to think i was pretty good at it considering my age.

These days i rarely have the time or patience to finish a game. My backlog across all platforms seems to be infinitely long.:(

So what was the first game you remember finishing?

I think mine was Mario on the NES, but I was very young then! After that I played a lot of the fifa Games so I think the next would have been FFVII and then onto Metal Gear Solid! I remember completing MGS 3 times in 1 day!

Hmm, not sure I can remember that far back, as I started gaming around 1981! It would have been something on the Atari 2600 or the Commodore Vic 20 for sure.

I think it was the first halo on the xbox. My brother always had PlayStation's but I never played any of the games to completion.

The most memorable was Knights of the Old Republic, I loved that game.

Something on the C64. Probably Uridium / Blue Max / Sensitive as I played the ever loving crap out of those games :D

For a proper console game, probably Sonic on my friends Master System.

First game I completed on my own console would have been Super Mario World on the SNES.

Think the first game I fully completed was bugs bunny: lost in time. Either that or rage racer both on PS1

Q*bert is the first one I actually remember completing in the early 80's. There was probably something before that though.

The first game I can ever remember getting near to finishing was Mega Man I on the NES. Would have only been about 8 or 9 (I got a NES for Christmas in 1990 and bought a SNES on about release).

We got right to Dr Wiley for the first time, having cracked the best way to beat each boss. But because we had to go to bed at 7 (school night on a Sunday), we had to leave the NES switched on in the kitchen.

Dad left a note for us when we got up Monday morning - he'd checked the game was still paused but the console had reset. :( All day at school I remember being absolutely miserable having lost so much progress.

We did eventually get to Dr Wiley properly and had a go at fighting him. I don't believe we ever beat him, though I may be wrong. I certainly remember emulating it years later to do it.

We nearly beat TMNT on the NES too, though it was absolutely solid.

First game I actually finished, to the best of my knowledge, was Punch Out! by simply drawing (surviving) with the final boxer (not Tyson in the version we had). After that, Super Mario World on the SNES.

It's a long time ago but it's either Heads over heels on the C64 or Microprose Airborne Ranger again on the C64.
Played loads of games on my older brothers Atari 2600 but I don't think I ever completed anything on it, mind you a lot of games back then didn't end they just looped round to the beginning again.
