Hi everyone,
Looking for some help/confirmation here.
Already have a case, SSD, SATA and good graphics card GTX1070, but wanted to refresh the MB, processor, RAM combo for a up to date gaming PC.

Thinking of going for these: are they all compatible and any advices on better choice would be appreciated.
Cheers.

I have got this old case quite big, and with a PSU with loads of connections, not good looking but goes under the desk, so not a problem.
Looking at around £600 for CPU, RAM, MB, fan and cooler, will go higher if really makes a difference.
Thought i7, 4GHz would be good for gaming, what would you recommend instead?

I read that most games weren't using more than quad core and that i7 had better perfs.
Took a pic of the case, but can't find a way to attach it :0

Thanks for the posts, I think you're right, better go for a more recent CPU, more future proof.
More of an Intel guy, like the MB you recommended on that build, is the extra cost on the fan really needed though?
