This will be my first build which will be mostly for for gaming and some web surfing. I'll want to be able to run the latest games on high settings such as Diablo 3 and Max Payne 3, as well as Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Crysis 2 etc. Single Monitor at 1920x1080. The budget for my build is £1,000 (or a bit more if it's worth it). I'd also like my build to be as quiet as it possibly could.
Approximate purchase date: Within the next week
Budget range: £1,000 - £1,200 (lower the better)
Usage from most to least important: Diablo 3, Max Payne 3, Mass Effect 3 - basically the latest games as well as being future proof
Preffered website(s) for parts: Whichever provides best value - Mostly Amazon but I've heard about these other sits: ****.co.uk, ********.co.uk, overclockers.co.uk, **********
Country: United Kingdom
Parts preferences: Would prefer Nvidia but wouldn't mind ATI if it's much better value
Overclocking: Maybe
Not Needed: Keyboard, Mice, Headset, Windows OS, SSD (M4 Crucial), HDD, optical drive
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe
Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
Below is the build I came up with but I'm not entirely sure if it's any good and worth the money, but obviously any recommendations or improvements would be much welcomed.
YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
1 x Asus VE247H 24" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black £149.99
1 x Asrock Z77 Extreme4 M Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £101.99
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 750W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CMPSU-750TXV2UK) £92.99
1 x Fractal Design Define R3 Midi Tower Case - Black Pearl £69.98
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £39.95
1 x Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler (Socket Intel® Socket LGA1366/1156/1155/775/AMD Socket FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2) £26.99
Total : £685.99 (includes shipping : £20.10).
Now all I need is the video card but I have no idea which one to get??? I'm looking towards the GTX 570 but I'm thinking that's not powerful enough to run the latest games at high settings and be future proof???
Any advice and recommendations would much appreciated guys. Many thanks.
