Hi all! Long time lurker. Got myself a pre-built gaming pc about 6 months ago and it converted me to pc gaming. It's been a great starter but now I'm looking for something with a bit more power. Budget is £1200 but can push a little more if it will really make a difference. I mainly play survival games such as Ark, Rust etc and I also stream on Twitch. Already have monitors (Dual - Samsung C24F390 24" curved LED), mouse, keyboard and SSD. This will be my first build so ideally want something relatively straight forward to build.

Thanks in advance

Current specs are:

CPU - Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.10GHz Sandy Bridge
RAM - 8gb (2x 4GB) DDR3 (No idea on brand)
Mobo -Intel Corporation DQ67SW (SKTH)
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce 1050ti 4095mb
Storage - 1TB Western Digital HDD
- 500GB Crucial SSD ( Runs OS and Ark)

Only part I was considering taking out was the SSD as I will possibly just be giving this PC to the wife.

Also forgot to ask I'm currently using a usb adapter to connect to wifi, am I better of fitting an internal card or does it not make much difference?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,209.04 (includes shipping: £13.20)

This should work quite well with your freesync monitors, got 8 cores 16 threads, so great for streaming. Not in love with wifi for streaming, but I think an internal card is probably worthwhile :)

Ok thank you. Yeah I realise it's less than ideal but have no option atm. Also I noticed I can get the gigabyte rx vega 64 for £40 more would be be worth my while paying the extra?

Personally I would pay the extra £40 as whilst you can have playing with the Vega 56 by undervolting and BIOS mods that bring it up close to the performance of a Vega 64, I just prefer something that works and the great thing with Vega is that it supports FreeSync monitors which is a real bonus.

The Vega 64 is very close to the performance of the GTX1080 and beats it in a number of games, though probably about 5% slower across 30+ titles, the fact it supports FreeSync more than makes up for that in my book. The only consideration is you probably shouldn’t skimp on the PSU as Vega does draw more power so go for 650w or higher, I’d always recommend spending a bit extra on a good PSU as it can last 5-10 years! Seasonic is a great brand.

UK RMA helps . Vega 56 can be pushed to Vega 64 if you know what your doing .
Ram is also clocked faster which is one of the key point of Vega 64

Get the formula 750w or 650w at least
