First GPU upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my gpu, specs are:

Intel Core i7 950 @ stock
Asus sabertooth x58
Gskill ripjawz 12GB 1600mhz (3x4gb)
XFX HD 5870 1GB
1x Blu Ray/DVD RW drive
1TB HDD
Cooler Master CM 690 II advanced case
6x Case fans
Corsair TX650 Watt 80+ Certified PSU
Samsung SyncMaster 1920x1080 60Hz

Whats the best gpu i can get for a budget of £250?

oh thats a relief, im guessing my psu is enough for a single 290 card? saw 600w and 750w as minimum so very confused

yh I've decided to just go for a non reference 290 when they are available.
