First HDR attempts - C&C your little hearts out :)

First, the River Findhorn, near Randolphs Leap....

And the Culloden Viaduct...

It's my first bash, both originated from a single .jpg, exposure altered in Photoshop (+2 and -2), and combined in Photomatix.

I like the first picture, although the rocks in the foreground are a bit dark, overall it's pretty good.

For your second image, I don't know whether it's the composition or the processing, but it doesn't really work for me, as the horizon feels like the focal point rather than the bridge, and the different colours between the ground and sky also emphasises this.

You would probabaly get better results shooting RAW, if you don't feel like taking mulitple exposures.

Can't really feel the depth of the photo, to much fill light I think. It also looks a little underexposed.

A bit better but I'm not a massive fan of the photo.

Both seem very 'soft'.
