Hey All,

This is my first attempt at a build log, previous times I got over-excited and just threw all the parts together and then thinking I should have documented it a bit :P

Anywho, this is a HTPC for the living room to replace the DVD player and to add a bit of sound and streaming to the TV, found a lovely Silverstone case to build in. Waiting on parts and will post more pictures as they arrive :)

The innards are going to be as folows:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Silverstone Milo ML03 HTPC Case - Black (SST-ML03B) £49.99
1 x Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3 AMD A88X (Socket FM2+) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £49.99

Along with these is a 500GB hard drive I already had tucked away to keep costs down until I can upgrade it with an SSD boot drive.

So the dining table looked a bit of a mess but not to worry..

Really fiddly DVD drive mounting system ended up with two pairs of hands:

Assembled with absolutely no cable management whatsoever:

Very tight squeeze between the DVD drive and PSU but managed to squeeze the SATA power in there.

Nice one - should serve you for years to come. Until you decide to get a 4K TV perhaps! Or perhaps the APU will cope with that res I dunno. We are years away from 4K content being common anyway I guess.
