First I5 OC - all OK?

Would be grateful if you could look at the following BIOS settings and temps etc for my overclock.

Not bad but temps look a tad high.

Do you have a CPU-Z shot showing the running CPU Voltage?

I think the CPUID shot shows the running voltage at 1.25v.
What sort of temps would you expect?

Cooler is a Megahalem with the supplied thermal compound. I screwed it down as tight as I felt was safe.

if you changed additional turbo voltage from auto to the lowest setting would this drop temps abit? i think it did for me on my 2500k.

Just trying to work out the voltage thing, sorry.
I just had a quick read regards VID and Vcore, but not 100% sure of the difference between the 2?
Run CPU-Z now and voltage is 1.176v on Prime95. VID is 1.246v

I used a how to guide for the OC and it didn't state setting a specifc voltage in the BIOS, just fixed or offset - which I used and the offset which I set as +0.005v, this was what was suggested in the guide.

Looking at the two voltages above apparently the offset is the difference between the V-core and VID? So should I set this to +0.07?

just as an fyi, if you stick a fat32 usb into your pc you can take screen shots of your bios by pressing F12

that would raise the temps as you adding more voltage. reduce the offset to lower temps but keep testing for stabilty along the way

Try a lower level llc,that should bring voltage down and temps
