will this setup run the cod games tf2,bf2 coh games at full res  through bootcamp of course

Welcome to the club,

I've had my 24'' iMac for 7 months now and eventually took off windows! cod4 and bf2 are available for mac anyway.

Looks like a good spec but i'd really consider another mouse as apposed to the wireless mighty!

yea i heard that the WMM isnt that good, whats the Logitech MX Revolution like on macs for support

are fat32 and ntfs supported in osx  stupid question i now but i have just thought of it as i have 3 ex hard drives with stuff on and a popcorn hour a110 that has films on :o

hehehe just ordered it

cant wait guys its my fast mac and am like a little kid a christmas just sorting out the applecare as i did ask for it but its not on the order so the guys sorting it i hope, student discount knocked a fair chunk of it as well so cheers Justin oh am at "Leeds Uni" :p

also does any one no what the contract uplift imac is at the bottom ????

Not usually.

They should ask, but they don't seem to bother so may as well take advantage of that. :p

He did ask what i was studying and i just said Graphics hence the need for an imac, the guy just got back to me about the applecare as i thought it would show up as the full price of £136 but its only £38

just ordered a 2tb wd drive and a logitech mx rev as well :D not sure if some one saw it but am just wondering about my other external drives that have my data on them there ntfs and fat32 will the imac see the contents ok or is there a little knack to them

i have looked around and found http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ am going to transfer the contents of the hard drives one at a time then format the drive in to something the mac can see without the need for third party software  does that make sense i swear it did in my head a minute ago

My god, that is stunningly expensive for a first time mac.

Enjoy I guess!

not really i could have spent more than that on a high end gaming pc only to find its out of date in a month, i went for the imac as it covered all my needs in a gorgous shell and after using my mates 13" macbook for a month when i was in America i fell in love with OS X :p

So you bought a computer with out of date hardware today? :p

shut up you and let me enjoy my purchase ;)

regarding ntfs problem will i be able to copy the files to my mac without a third party program then when thats done format the drive to a mac supported format

I definately think it was wise to upgrade the hard drive....it's a pin taking the screen off the swap the hard drives

yea 1tb should be enough i also have the 2tb external on the way as well :D cant wait i really hope am one of the lucky ones that gets it before the suppose shipping date

just got in from work to find a nice email stating my imac has been shipped, it says to expect it on or before 24th april though :( thats still ages away, i wants it now *My Precious* :p

phoned apple up today and they say that its been shipped today/yesterday will take 3/4 days to get to europe then another 4/5 to get to me so some time next week/weekend :D cant wait as i have the last week of april of :)

TNT have my Imac on the van ready to deliver this morning :D < if that grin could be bigger it would lol, not worried about the freezes and lock ups on it as most people have found out that using the wifi gives them the problems but those who have it connected via ethernet do not so am ok as the router is next to the imac any way :p
