First internal UK flight

Visiting a friend in near Aberdeen in the first week of July, having never flown within the UK and also having never booked flights (I've only arranged package holidays before) I expected it to be cheaper than leaving the UK. Not sure why, I just did. £174 return was the cheapest flight I could find.

This seems really dear.

Is it?

Flying from Bristol midweek in fist week of July so over a month in advance. Cheapest flight I could find was with BMI direct.

Luton is 136 miles from me, then there is is parking etc to pay for if I drive or train fare etc.

The £174 price is based on £75 fare and the rest is tax and other costs :mad:
