We just got an 11"ipad Pro with the pencil. This is my first time owning an ios device since the iPhone 3gs! It is intended to be a shared family ipad for me, wife, & kids aged 7&10.

Case - we are thinking of getting the new keyboard case. I've heard it is kind of heavy, some people are suggesting having a 2nd case for pure tablet use. Would you agree with this? The folio case is £50 at Currys - why is it so much? Is it worth it?

Calculator - I am amazed it doesn't have a calculator, recommended the best calculator with no ads (obvs don't mind paying for it). Don't mind if it has advanced features, but it should have a basic mode, so they whole family can use it.

Notes - I was playing around with this today and couldn't seem to make sense of this. I have set up my Google account to sync notes with my ipad. However if I use the pencil, I can't save the notes as Google notes! Is this correct? Let's say I want to write a shopping list on the ipad with the pencil, and then want to be able to see the shopping list on my phone whilst in the shop. At the moment I feel that I would have to email it to myself, which seems crazy. Whatabout if my family wanted to edit the list when I was in the supermarket - is there any way of making that possible? (obviously shopping lists must be a key reason that I thought we should spend so much in an ipad Pro!)

As I mentioned, it's pure first ipad, so do recommend me anything else you think is worthwhile, like drawing apps, animation apps, games, educational tools etc

I use P-Calc for my calculator, it’s the best one. Can you use Google Keep for notes? It’s on the App Store.

Get Apple Arcade for the kids.

The original ipad was going to ship with a calculator app but steve jobs said it wasn't good enough (or it didn't look as nice as he wanted), so they pulled it

I hope the next version of ipad OS (ios14) has a calculator widget down the side, that would be great
