First Look: JW-RS780UVD-AM2+

Does 'side port memory' mean adding the onboard graphics to a dedicated card ? If I have (as I do) a 256mb 3850 card would I see a worthwhile (eg +10%ish) boost to my 3D performance ? (Drivers permitting of course, I understand they are likely to be immmature right now)

side port means the memory chip built on the PCB of the motherboard itself.

One of the best mATX I've seen :D Got plans for an Intel based board? The HDMI & DVI Is an awesome feature! Looks very well laid out as well.

This board would go very nicely in my Thermaltake Bach htpc case with a nice cheap phenom 9500. Hope these come into stock soon, because I am definitely tempted.

Could do with one of them to replace my crosshair, which is currently running my 9600 @ 2.45ghz stable. Gets a bit flakey at 2.50ghz + though :(

Looks very well made. I'd imagine OCUK will be stocking them very soon.

What's that memory chip thing, like a dedicated memory for the onboard GFX? (side-port memory?)

Yes, its 64mb of dedicated VRAM for the card. So yeah it would be nearly identical performance to the full size PCIe 2400XT. Just overclocks better :D

i've read bout this bout a week ago and am also thinking of building htpc, would prolly stick another 2400xt in it as well :D
