Hi,

I built my new pc a month or so ago and seemed to be fine, however recently 3DMark05 started to crash (normally after the first test) however 3DMark06 worked fine... anyway I thought i'd give memtest a go, so I burned it onto disk and booted up with it and let it do its thing (not touched any settings as to be honist I havn't got a clue :$) anyway at time of writing (49 minutes) it has found 2 errors on tst 7. I dont suspect this is good... so is it time to think about sending the sticks back to OcUK? (Dual Channel 2GB corsair value kit @ £105 ish) Everything reguarding memory is default, no OCing etc.

Spec:

AMD 64 4000+
Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe
Leadtek 7800GT

Thanks in advance,
Brett

Well nothing is overclocked (by me in anycase) so I assume its faulty... brilliant! (First my GFX was faulty and had to be RMAed, then the chipset fan died so I had to fit my own and now the ram... deary me) more annoying now as i've "moved into" my new pc... and dont have any DDR1 RAM around (my old machine was a P4 so I assume DDR2). :(

(think this what caused 3dmark05 to crash? And RCT3 to run slowwww (10 FPS!) with a reasonable park size?)

k thanks, just started it now... think it will produce different results?

lol its finding another error in another test... within 1 min its found an error in test 3 (which it didn't find before...) so I assume my ram is well and truely buggered? How long should I leave it before taking another pic? I mean its already found an error..

Hey, sorry I meant corsair (ooops!) anyway OcUK are replacing it upon a test, will be sending it off tommorrow... hope i get a replacement quick got coursework to do :(
